Renaissance Aruba retains EarthCheck Gold Certificate

Renaissance Aruba Resort & Casino, part of Wind Creek Hospitality, is pleased to announce that they retain the gold certificate from EarthCheck. The audit focused on progress and improvements. The golden status of this important certification is achieved by companies that are constantly looking for ‘greener’ practices that implement sustainable change and offer long-term beneficial results for the company and the environment.

 

Renaissance Aruba Resort & Casino maintains their place as a leader in the unique worldwide group of sustainable tourism operators that are certified by the internationally recognized EarthCheck Company Standard with the exclusive EarthCheckTM science inside.  According to Mr. Paul Gielen, General Manager of the resort, Renaissance Aruba Resort & Casino uses an advanced reporting tool to move ahead in both environmental and business performance. ”We are very happy to uphold our golden certification. The resort has been making steady changes these last couple of years. Among other things, the use of solar panels, destruction of biodiversity and many more. This year, the Renaissance Aruba Resort & Casino was subjected to an audit covering 555 rooms, 2 casinos, the convention center and also the Renaissance Island.
